🚨 Arsenal are now confident Jurrien Timber will put pen to paper and sign a long-term extension this summer. Talks have progressed excellently with his new deal reflecting his status within the squad. In terms of his current health status, groin injuries are very tricky to manage. As far as I know they have been trying to manage him back into playing condition. I was told he was seeing a specialist but I need further confirmation / clarity on that. People around the club are still optimistic he features again this season but truthfully I check everyday waiting to give you the news he is back. 🚨 Arsenal are tracking Mika Godts. My understanding is the Belgian would be very open to joining Arsenal should we step up our interest and make a serious play for him. 🚨 As reported this week, Kai Havertz is pushing to return with Arteta saying he could make Atleti (H). Finally, like last summer, multiple targets are being spoken to for each position. One of these players is Livramento who is convinced he is joining Arsenal. I must stress we have not made any contact with Newcastle so there is no current indication he is our top target. Every day there is a new “link” and its probably just Berta doing basic checks. No need for “major breaking” everyday. I hope this update provides some much needed clarity.

1-1 away from home. Not a bad result in the end. Game swung on the Atletico penalty obviously and Arsenal rode their luck a bit for 20 minutes or so after that as Atletico got the momentum. The subs (and Alvarez going off) tipped the game back towards Arsenal. I just can't get over the penalty overturn though. Soft decision, maybe. But once that's given on-field you can't overturn it. Clear and obvious error? Not a chance. It's a joke that it got overturned. Simeone was basically reffing the game in that second half. Anyway, it's all set up for a huge night at the Emirates next Tuesday.

@charles_watts Me too Charles, obviously the home crows had a say in it but we've been done over by the officials, did we upset some refereeing god down the line?

I have to speak. I came away from this with less optimism than I did losing at City. That's weird right? We lost that game, and won this one... I just cannot help but see a team with so much talent, but it's not playing, nor has it been for some time, like it has that talent.

I absolutely fucking love council estates when the sun’s out the whole place turns into Benidorm. Kids screaming up and down the road on scooters with one wheel missing, someone’s Bluetooth speaker blasting tunes that sound like they’ve been recorded through a toaster, and at least three separate arguments kicking off over absolutely nothing. Then you’ve got lads outside their gardens like they’re security guards for a club that doesn’t exist, just nodding at everyone like they’re important. The smell of weed in the air, baby mums running for the ice cream van with their tits swinging all over in their vest tops, smack heads peddling about topless on their kids ben 10 bikes, corner shop rammed full of people getting the beers in, and the ladies walking around with their fannies eating their shorts and little crop tops on like they're in fucking Cyprus. Then you’ve got that one bloke who’s been mowing the same patch of grass for two hours straight, shirt off, red as a lobster, acting like he’s maintaining Wembley Stadium
