For those that aren’t aware this happened to $SPY and $QQQ in 2022. I’ve seen many changes in my career since 2019. You may be wondering how will this impact the market? Well let’s look at what happened last time using the indices for reference. The first few weeks were a bit weird as traders were trying to figure out how to account for this new feature. There was awkward pricing and the contracts didn’t move quite right. You can expect choppy violent swings until they become normalized. Lots of traders including myself vowed not to trade them the first couple months as price pinning at key gamma spots was all too normal (gamma is nothing new I have written about GEX since 2021.) As for my personal thoughts and opinions I see this as a positive for traders like myself. As I know my setups and can capitalize on high probability setups and make larger returns. But for the average trader this will likely lead to catastrophic losses. Unexperienced traders will oversize on 0DTE like they do with $SPY and blast through their portfolios at light speed. This will increase the gambling nature of trading. Which I worry about greatly. Nasdaq and their rich hedge fund friends only add new products if the data says they can make money off you. The data shows 80% of 0DTE end in losses so of course they will add more products to accommodate the gamblers. For those who take trading serious in the long run this is a net positive. You will get larger option fueled moves powered by 0DTE shenanigans. I’m extremely excited for this as we are going to rake in tons of cash. Last note it’s easy not to take losses on 0DTE just make sure there’s trend. Don’t touch these in chop and you’ll make money too. TLDR: More WeBull multibagger screenshots incoming
