@RetoPaul Something seems off though: "Without the water, reaching an NA of more than 1 was impossible. With it, our systems' optics reach an NA of 1.35". Presumably there is something in the water to reach n > 1.35?

@Rory_M_Power Unfortunately finite. Schneider's lenses are all finite. I think infinity with a tube lens would be possible, but would require a massive tube lens to fill the 82 mm sensors these lenses are designed for!

New TITANITE 5.0X / NA 0.27 microscopy lens now available from Schneider-Kreuznach! Purpose-built ExA-SPIM lens with steel dipping caps in place of the original beamsplitter. Same 16.8 mm FOV, slightly lower WD (22 vs 35 mm) and NA (0.27 vs 0.30), but with dipping capabilities.

@Rory_M_Power @Thorlabs @amsikking @Bodeeen1 We have a couple Vantage Pro 20 and 30mm galvos, in an image space scanning format. We did not notice anything negative about flatness. With the caveat that any curvature in image space would not as directly show up on the PSF as if they were in pupil space. @bingy_C Thoughts?

Anyone been using the large (e.g. 20 mm) @Thorlabs galvos and can comment on flatness? thorlabs.com/newgrouppage9.… Any better options for a large aperture 1D scanner with high flatness? Can sacrifice some speed. no problem
