I love that the summary of the concept of what Pokémon are supposed to be is “dinosaurs and monsters and cute.”

Typeless Pokemon: The earliest Pokemon didn't originally have types, because the concept didn't exist yet. Game Freak came up with the idea for types later in development -- then went back and revised those early Pokemon designs, like adding a flame onto Charmander's tail.
