It is beyond any suggestion of credibility to suggest that the Board of the FAI would have been unaware of any of these incidents - and the FAI now need to address how they came to appoint a manager who acted as an apologist for a football player accused of r*pe.

So the FAI have appointed a new Men's National Team manager, Heimir Hallgrímsson. In a week where there have been serious allegations about the treatment of female footballers by FAI coaches - questions now need to be asked of the FAI and Hallgrímsson.
