Updates NCS 🏀 playoff picture as of 2/5 Of note Boys - Big changes in Open. University is in, Newman now the 1 seed in D2. SRV also needs a strong finish to stay eligible. Girls - Lots of bubble teams now ineligible. I expect a lot of 1st-round byes like last year. #PDPreps

@chriscfore Coach look up Ferndale HS in Humboldt County NCS. Rural public 140 enrollment. Just went 13-0, almost always legit. That is true small school ball you don’t see down south. No where to recruit from.

A lot of coaches were probably like I was way back in 2004, playing them in their first 11 man Semi Final game. Looked right past them in many ways. Underestimated them. Learned a great lesson as a 28 year old Head Coach!! "80 kids in the school? We have 400. 25 kids on the team? We have 40. They played nobody. Etc Etc." They whooped us. At the time, one of the best teams Linfield ever had.

NCS title on the line here in southwest Santa Rosa. @EAHSLOBOS (8-3), the top seed in the 8-person Division 2 brackets, hosting No. 3 @ccs_school (6-5) in a rematch of last year’s title game, which Cornerstone won 84-78. Lobos have never won a section title in any sport #PDPreps

@Coach_BradS @jbrownwoods @JustGusPD 145 enrollment at a rural public is insane. Only 4 of the 12 NCS 8 Man schools have enrollment less than Ferndale! Little fact- Ferndale is #2 in NCS titles behind De La Salle. Should be a good game.

This would be a pretty cool. 8-man football powerhouse Stuart Hall looking to make the jump to 11-man, could join the NCL I next year. I’ve also heard the NCL I could be splitting up into two divisions, similar to the NBL Oak/Redwood format. #PDPreps
