✨ And the spotlight shines on Carver! 🎭🌟 G.W. Carver Magnet High School’s Dreamgirls cast and crew hit the big stage at the 2025 Tommy Tune Awards at the Hobby Center—and they did not come to play! Our Carver students left their mark and brought home several awards! 🏆🎶 A special shoutout to Alyssa Dorsey, who was named a Jimmy Awards® Nominee Winner and will represent Carver on the national stage in NYC! 🎤💫 We are beyond proud of the entire Dreamgirls team for showing Houston the excellence, talent, and heart that lives right here in Aldine ISD. 🎭Carver High School Theatre Shines at Texas Thespians State Festival 2024! 🎭 25 students earned superior ratings and advanced to nationals! 🎶 MusicalWorks Winners: Ivan Davidson & Alyssa Dorsey amazed with their original musical, Make Us Proud, performing the opening number at the prestigious NextGen Showcase. ✍️ Playwriting Finalist: Trinity Jones was a finalist with her play A Purple Rose, receiving perfect scores and qualifying for nationals in both Playwriting and Duet Musical! 🌟 Among over 400 troupes and 12,000 students, Carver Theatre was honored as one of only 89 Gold Honor Troupes! This distinction recognizes our outstanding contributions on and off the stage. Thank you for supporting the arts and our incredible students! #AldineImpact
