We support @peta ‘s #VeganForEarthDay - a global shift toward vegan eating is vital to combat the worst effects of the climate catastrophe, and a University of Oxford study found that cutting meat and dairy from our diets could reduce our food-related carbon footprint by 2/3.
Our goal is for you to see them as we do: as someone 💜
Come visit us and connect with our residents! We offer community and private tours, corporate off-sites, school visits, and many volunteer opportunities! Check out rosiesfarmsanctuary.org for options.
We were thrilled to have a special visit from the one and only @genebaur of @FarmSanctuary. As a new sanctuary, we have much to learn and navigate, so we’re deeply grateful for the incredible guidance, wisdom, and support from one of the preeminent leaders of the movement.
What does your heart tell you?
Watch Marty, Velvet, Moose, and Mickey. When you actually stop and consider it, it becomes very hard to convince yourself that some of these sweet souls have a “purpose” for being our food versus our companion.
It’s never too late to go vegan.
On January 23, Rosie’s founder Michele Waldman testified in the State Senate with @HumaneSociety in favor of Senate Bill 193 which calls for the prohibition of cruel and unnecessary battery cages for egg-laying hens in the State of Maryland.

“Cows play, form friendships within their herd and lament the loss of their children. In general, cows are far more similar to traditional pets — and ourselves — than is commonly believed.”
This is why we do what we do. We give these beautiful, loving souls the sanctuary they deserve.
Witness the pure gratitude and healing with our founder @MicheleWaldman1 and our miracle girl, Maggie May, who now knows she is someone not something. ✨💜
What better way to kick off the New Year than trying VEGAN in January!!
@weareveganuary is completely free and full of resources, recipes, and support.
For Moose and all the residents at Rosie’s, for all the animals, for your own health and the health of our planet 🌱
Together with you, our wonderful community and supporters, we did incredible work and saved precious lives in 2023. We will continue to do everything we can to build a more compassionate world. We are so grateful, and we look forward to doing more in ‘24. 💜
The road to a rescue is often paved with heartbreak and heavy, but the feeling of knowing that they are finally safe is an experience like none other.
Marty is someone special, and he will spend the rest of his life knowing it, feeling it, and living it here at Rosie’s. 💜
State Sen. Lewis-Young and state House member Jen Terrasa support legislation to make Maryland the 11th state to ban the sale of eggs from chickens raised in inhumane cages. Rosie’s hosted a team from HSUS to promote CageFreeMD humanesociety.org/cagefreemd
Our founder, Michele, always had a dream of having an animal sanctuary, a place where she could inspire compassion in the hearts of all people and be the voice for animals by rescuing and rehabilitating farm animals, and providing educational programs and advocacy.
