@Kontenasan_bf Being that picky about courses and races only means he's still lacking in ability, true top tier horses like Calandagan, CdN or RW can win in many different tracks, not just stick to long straight Tokyo course and lose everywhere else

After today’s performance, I honestly started wanting to see MASQUERADE BALL in the Arc a little.
Skipping the Osaka Hai was probably the right call.
Honestly, I do not think he should go to the Takarazuka Kinen either.
He should just stick to races with long straights.

@Kontenasan_bf He could've won by like 2-3 lengths already if he isn't eased and slow down by JMac, too bad Masquerade Ball fans can't handle the truth he was completely outclassed by an old RW. If this was a younger RW he might even win by 5 lengths

Romantic Warrior is still incredibly strong, just as always.
If he were still at his absolute peak, he probably would have won by an even bigger margin.

@Kontenasan_bf He could never show his true potential as he always been severely held back by such an awful jockey like Kitamura, someone who always ride horrendously, not just with him but with many other horses as well, Croix du Nord has always been a handicapped horse

Croix failed to train, bad shape, carried 57kg, never run in wet and longchamp, jockey never ride there VS Daryz in good shape, experienced jockey, familar with wet and track, only carried 56kg

@Kontenasan_bf Croix du Nord didn't impress me already in the Prince d Orange, G2. If Barzalona had gone through the wide open door instead of around outside of Croix du Nord, Daryz would have won. The race was only intense at the last 2ft.

The active horse I rate the highest right now is Croix du Nord.
He uses his back so well, and because he’s such a genuinely good horse, I can’t help having really high standards for him.
It’s the same with horses like Do Deuce — they make you feel, “This can’t be all he’s got”

Rising Cross, the dam of Croix du Nord, stood around 145 cm—pretty small. Most of her foals turned out on the petite side too. Not that it’s a bad thing! Northern Dancer was 153 cm. Into Mischief, Mister Prospector, Storm Cat, A.P. Indy, Seattle Slew? Around 163 cm. Halo and Danzig were about 155 cm. Lyphard was 154 cm. That’s the ballpark for many legends. But Croix du Nord? He looks close to 170 cm. Hard to believe Rising Cross’s best runner ended up with that kind of frame. Must be from his sire, Kitasan Black—he stood 172 cm and passed down that height. From the front, Croix du Nord can actually look a bit narrow—almost fragile, even? That’s Kitasan too. Same with Equinox: tall, lean, and built like a blade. Tall and narrow… maybe that’s what defines the top-class Japanese turf horses these days. And Croix du Nord’s greatest weapon? His lungs. I really think he got a phenomenal engine from Rising Cross.
