🚨 Urgent! Every Nigerian has the constitutional right to live anywhere in the country in peace. If reports of security personnel pointing a rifle at an innocent baby during an operation are true, it is unacceptable. Criminals should face justice—not innocent families. Justice, professionalism, and respect for human dignity are essential for lasting peace. May Allah protect Nigeria and guide us all. 🇳🇬🤲🏽

It’s so alarming to see so many dumb youths in Nigeria. When Remi Tinubu brought up Akara, corn, and Kuli-Kuli, She was speaking specifically about grassroots grants (not loans) for petty traders who don't need massive capital to survive this economic climate. She was explaining how her foundation distributes grants directly to vulnerable groups to survive this climate, while simultaneously funding massive national projects. She literally mentioned funding: breast cancer, tuberculosis, malnutrition, agriculture, ICT, and education 🤞

Everybody is now forming as if they all work at Tesla or Open AI simply because the First Lady said to help folks set up even if it's akara or kulikuli making business. But in the morning or evening y'all gather to buy the same akara or go shopping kuli. Do you know the billions kulikuli is worth? I don't even know who you are forming for. Akara making is a big business stop listening to idiots making you feel inferior over a food they can't afford sometimes. So what's wrong with roasting corn? Are thousands of people not roasting corn and earning a living as we speak? Abi you think the First Lady should feign ignorance? She's a Nigerian, she knows what's up. Everybody will not end up at Shell or Amazon.

See ehn, I’m tired of Nigerians & this constant emotional outrage. What she said wasn’t out of line. The reality is that there are people living in poverty. Why are some of you angry that the government is trying to support them? ₦50,000 or ₦100,000 can make a huge difference to someone selling akara, tomatoes, kuli kuli, or someone to trying to start a small business. It’s not a loan! It’s a grant!! She mentioned in this same interview how she has also paid for cancer treatments, supported tuberculosis patients, funded ICT training, and carried out several other interventions. But many of you ignored all of that because it didn’t fit your outrage narrative. E ma ke ku ni.

“To start akara business doesn’t take a lot of money. To start roasting corn or kuli-kuli doesn’t take much. We didn’t give them a loan, we gave them a grant. We have encouraged Nigerians as best as we could, I also gave to several others.” -Senator Remi Tinubu, First Lady of Nigeria

Come under here and see children of anger raising hell over the First Lady’s comment that some women have been supported to start petty business, including frying akara, in their communities just to keep their heads up. If these angry kids know how N50/100k support can be useful to petty traders living on the edge. Yet, these individuals, not conspicuously mentioned in the pyramid of wealth, are the true architects of the economy. Many big businesses today started from petty trading and grew from 50 kobo to millions. But angry kids want people to simply stumble upon millions without any entrepreneurial effort. It is not everyone who requires substantial capital to start big businesses; some simply need a little help to build their lives from there.

NPF CLARIFIES FALSE BANDITRY NARRATIVE IN VIRAL KATSINA VIDEO, REAFFIRMS PARTNERSHIP WITH COMMUNITY SECURITY VOLUNTEERS The Nigeria Police Force categorically disclaims the false and misleading narrative accompanying a viral video circulating on social media which alleges that a uniformed police officer was seen interacting with armed bandits in Katsina State. For the avoidance of doubt, the individuals featured in the video are not bandits. They are duly recognized members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) and registered hunters who are actively supporting ongoing security operations in collaboration with security agencies in Musawa and Matazu Local Government Areas of Katsina State. The video captured a routine interaction between a police officer and these security volunteers as they proceeded to a designated operational area in support of efforts to combat criminality and enhance public safety. Any claim suggesting otherwise is entirely false, malicious, and intended to mislead the public. The Nigeria Police Force strongly condemns the deliberate distortion of facts and the circulation of misinformation capable of causing public anxiety, undermining confidence in security institutions, and frustrating ongoing security operations. Members of the public are urged to disregard the misleading claims attached to the video and rely only on information disseminated through official channels of the Nigeria Police Force and other authorized government sources. The Force warns individuals and groups engaged in the creation, publication, or dissemination of false information capable of prejudicing public peace and security to desist immediately, as appropriate legal action may be taken against violators. The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to working with legitimate community-based security stakeholders and other relevant partners in the collective effort to protect lives, safeguard communities, and combat crime across the country.
