Was strongly thinking of going all conventional semen this year to cut costs a touch but... seeing as this little man is our 15th bull calf out of 19 births that plan goes out the window 🙄🙄🫣. Just as well they're actually worth something this year! 66 calved 43 to go💪💪

@SeanMoy98947674 @AndyClaydenPtns @aidandonn_ @JerryMoloney1 @DarraghScott On the bull file March vs May, his calving interval went up 4 days (from -11.49 to -7.56) and survival reduced from 3% to 1.14%. Reliability on fertility SI went from 49% to 51%. So not much data caused the drop....

No calving intervals etc. So what is the data that has whacked his fertility? Age at first calving and what? He could very well go back up.

@AndyClaydenPtns @aidandonn_ @JerryMoloney1 @SeanMoy98947674 @DarraghScott I didn't use Teak, not my gravy, primarily because of percentages. But it comes down to bull teams - and using him or any bull at 10% is fine, using him at 30% or any other bull unless properly proven was/is a mistake....
