I was in 5th grade the first time I heard Cross Canadian Ragweed. My brother picked me up on a Friday afternoon from Reaves Intermediate school in Conroe in his truck. We were headed to my grandparents barn when he put a CD in the radio and said “you have to hear this song. It’s called 17” and I was instantly hooked. A defining moment in me wanting to write songs and play guitar. Fast forward 20+ years and my first time seeing them play live, I got to sing with them in front of 48,000 people. A moment I’ll never forget. Thank you to those boys for having me. Long Live red dirt music.
