I think I’m going to have to start calling some of these so-called CRO “experts” out.
Because honestly… it’s becoming laughable.
Earlier today I saw someone giving away Figma files, proudly claiming that 130 of the 150 pages had converted above 4% in the last 90 days, without zero proof!
I’d put serious money on that not being true.
And yet people lap it up.
Then I saw another “hero shot” explaining how to design the perfect CTA.
Except… I couldn’t even find the CTA.
Black button. Black background. Faded grey text.
The copy itself was weak and wishy-washy.
I literally had to zoom in 3x just to spot it.
And this is the stuff being positioned as “best practice.”
And don’t even get me started on the “theme block wizards.” The ones who spin up fake brand websites that don’t even exist online and then claim they increased conversion rates by X%.
Meanwhile, I’ve seen people who are literally copying and pasting entire websites, ours included. One guy this week swapped out our logo and a few testimonials on our homepage and presented it as his own.
This is what brands are up against when they’re looking for CRO help. These are the people getting tagged when serious companies ask for recommendations.
It’s madness.
Here’s the truth, every single case study breakdown I share, every stat I throw out, can be backed up with cold, hard facts from our clients and our test repository.
That’s the difference.
CRO isn’t about smoke and mirrors.
It’s not about fake screenshots or copycat designs.
It’s about real tests, real data, and real results.
It's crazy how much crap is being thrown around right now.
Brands deserve better.
