Gunfire Forces Vehicle Off Road: Buffelsdraai – KZN A vehicle was forced off the roadway following a shooting incident on Buffelsdraai Road in the Buffelsdraai area – KZN at approximately 00:30 this morning (Saturday). Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire in the area. On arrival, Reaction Officers interviewed the driver of a white Isuzu double cab bakkie. The man explained that he and his passenger had just left a friend’s residence when a silver vehicle (model unknown) attempted to cut them off. Multiple gunshots were allegedly fired in their direction. The driver lost control of the vehicle during the incident, causing it to veer off the roadway and come to a stop in bushes on the opposite side of the road. The bakkie sustained gunshot damage to the rear and driver’s side window. No injuries were reported. The motive for the shooting has not been established.
