$IONQ Big earnings on Wednesday. Confident they will beat guidance, but heres what else I think we could see announced: 1. DARPA Phase C Award: Rick Muller recently said IonQ was close to making this transition, and hoped to make an announcement in near term. IonQ also just published its full technical blueprint, which IMO implies they have finished Phase B. 2. New paper confirming IONQ has achieved the speeds necessary on its photonic interconnects to make distributed quantum computing possible. Early last month Mihir indicated this would be published soon. 3. New leadership hires. I heard the head of quantum at L3Harris has left for a new undisclosed role. 👀 L3Harris chief quantum strategist also just left to lead UMD quantum program and its new quantum networking collaboration with IonQ. 4. Update on IonQ Italia. Was recently disclosed by Italy that IONQ has committed to making a substantial investment.
