Very proud of our four representatives for the Partnership Trust football teams that won both of the matches against Palladian Academy Trust 3-1 and 6-0 on Friday!

Absolutely outstanding performance by our football team at today’s Bath & District Mixed Football Tournament in which we won The Plate, winning 5, drawing 1 and losing 1. Sporting behaviour was outstanding and all player contributed to an awesome day!

Cedar Class were being scientists by fair testing the reactive force from different surfaces around the school.

Years 5 and 6 have completed their bridges! The children appreciate that additions could be made for stability, such as diagonal struts, but they did really well constructing these in the time allowed. #primaryDT

Well done to the Year 5 children who attended the ‘Multi-sports Festival’ at the Glasshouse on Monday. They had a brilliant day in the sun experiencing a range of new sports with many other schools from the Bath area.

To show our support for the Ukraine we created a Peace and Harmony wall. The whole school participated in a art day and raised money for the Ukrainian Crisis Relief Fund 🇺🇦

Many thanks to the talented musicians from @HayesfieldSixth for an amazing afternoon of music, and inspiration, performing and answering questions to our enthralled UKS2 children!

Thanks to @BMT_Global for working with UKS2 last week, where the children were Engineers and Scientists designing, constructing, testing and evaluating their maritime creations. @lightinguplearn

Years 5 and 6 investigated gravity and air resistance in their attempts to avoid their raw egg succumbing to a smashing end by designing the best parachute possible. Some were more successful than others, but everyone tried their best.

Years 5 and 6 had a fantastic and informative session with Scott on how to use CPR as part of our 'How Are Lives Saved?' enquiry.

Year 6 Mathematicians worked hard solving the equivalent fractions Tarsia puzzle this morning!

What an exciting start to our new enquiry - How are lives saved? - with a heart dissection and lots of very intelligent questions and observations from Y5+6 children. Well done everyone!

Cedar Class have been making opaque tin foil figures to see the shadows that they produce, as part of our ‘Why are shadows important?’ enquiry.
