@SazaFin @MichaelRosenYes @JohnApplebyLD I don’t know if you’d count it as “teaching” reading for pleasure, but if you see a class turned loose in one of our bookshops - every kid seems able to find a book they want… and graphic novels provided a “way in” for a friend’s small son with reading & social problems…

Nobody’s advocating that we stop reading to our kids. Equally, nobody’s saying that reading should be a miserable drudge. But enforced DEAR time for pupils with significant Dyslexia is a form of torture.
