@billnkate @KatarinaHill2 @CassieDebus @Martina So the same would be true for adopted kids or kids with one parent or other family member taking care of them for several reasons but still we want to focus on surrogacy and maybe only if involves gay men. Are we really concerned about kids ? Are these the kids in danger ?

@Martina It s rather a journey you want to do for other reasons. Second adoption is not available to everyone and every couple in every country. It is complex indeed but I think it would be so fascinating to hear the stories of women deciding to help with surrogacy

@Martina I appreciate surrogacy is a complex matter and I believe this is not the right place for it My point is that those women don’t deserve to hear we think that this is wrong and we should rather ask them if they felt good about it, was it an empowering and positive experience?

@Martina To your point , I don’t think the financial compensation you get is life changing and in the US there’s a rigid framework who takes into account your financial stability before becoming a surrogate. So I don’t think it would be worth for the money but

An infant is deeply bonded to the women who carry them. Their heartbeat and voice is the center of their world from the start. That comfort bond is ripped from them immediately

@MavisM54295 @Martina So you know exactly how it works and also that she’s the mother. she’s has no biological/genetic link with the baby as the donor is not the person carrying the pregnancy. However the most important thing is that she doesn’t want to be the mother , that’s not her wish or plan

@RovynaRiot @Martina I don’t think it’s “nice” to take a newborn away from its mother at birth, when it naturally seeks out the sound and the smell of the only person it knows.

@KatarinaHill2 @CassieDebus @Martina Talk to these women and really listen to them; you might learn a thing or two. I know it can be daunting to gather information and educate yourself , but it’s definitely worth it.
