SOURCE: WKU OC Rick Bowie is expected to become the new offensive coordinator at UTSA. Before coming to WKU, Bowie led a prolific offense at Abilene Christian and helped them make the FCS playoffs for the first time in program history.

UTSA Athletics Director Lisa Campos says the school is aiming to raise $4-$5 million for football in 2026. This is a significant increase from 2025. It’s seems as though UTSA’s Administration has made a renewed commitment to the ever changing landscape of college football.

Charlotte is planning to do considerably more for their football roster construction than UTSA. It’s wild to see that Charlotte, UNT, ECU, Tulane, Memphis, South Florida (and probably others) all have raced past UTSA in this aspect.
