The outstanding @RCT exhibition of Queen Elizabeth II’s wardrobe was a tangible reminder of her dedicated service for decades and how she shaped her queenship in her reign. A truly remarkable woman to remember on what would have been her #centenary.

Then on to ⁦@NTAV⁩ Tasma Terrace for the pop-up exhibition, which not only shares some of the collection with the public but also the wonderful terrace itself.

I was not expecting to see part of the Kaba covering from Mecca or ancient Egyptian treasures in the Royal Collection exhibition! The gifts received by the Royal Family over the years are truly extraordinary in their diversity. ⁦@RCT⁩

I was fascinated to see the crown and chair for the future Edward VIII’s inauguration as Prince of Wales at ⁦⁦@thekingsgallery⁩. The crown’s ostensibly typical pattern of fleurs de lis and crosses is actually made up of daffodils. ⁦@RCT⁩

Sometimes I go to an exhibition and am blown away by the sense of proximity to history. Queen Alexandra’s Coronation dress, portrait of said dress, throne and amazing jewels. I have always loved how a restrained Danish princess became arguably Britain’s most bejewelled queen.

A triumph! I’m extremely impressed with the skilful blending of old and new at ⁦@NorwichCastle⁩ that has made the archaeology of the Norman Castle legible and given visitors a varied and engaging experience. Huge congratulations to ⁦@NorfolkMuseums⁩ & its design team

On #VJDay, we remember those from across the #Commonwealth who fought. The #Kohima epitaph is famous but the ⁦@CWGC Kohima⁩ cemetery also contains the Cremation memorial and burials of soldiers of different countries and faiths who fought together. #wewillrememberthem
