@Rowlandroll@Evie_Magazine Yeah, I get that. Eloise feels predictable imo. I also think Francesca is a more fitting representation bcoz there’s a common assumption that lesbians are like Eloise. Which we know isn't true. Many gay women are soft and feminine too
Making Francesca's love interest a woman in the show messes with one of the key themes of Francesca’s storyline: her struggle with infertility.
Francesca's story hinges on her great desire to be a mother and her struggles to become pregnant, which continues even after she and Michael have been married for many years.
Many women who struggle with infertility have particularly loved Francesca’s story because the novel gives representation to a still taboo topic and illustrates how to support a woman who is struggling with some kind of infertility.
The "Bridgerton" series is sending the message that queer representation is more important than the original storyline, which gives representation to the 1 in 5 married women who struggle with infertility.

@pinenutter@Evie_Magazine I think that's why she would have been better for a nontraditional marriage because she hates men and is not appealed by the idea of being someone's wife. Plus her story is also easier to change.
@Rowlandroll@Evie_Magazine As a gay couple? Nah. Eloise's character is too stereotypical imo. She's shown as someone who dislikes the idea of marriage and men.
@Evie_Magazine This is a silly take. The show already deviates from the books. Multi racial casting, Anthony marrying someone from India. Was that in the book? But one gay couple is suddenly a problem? Come on. And the actors themselves are so sweet and excited abt it. Just let it be.
@Evie_Magazine I wish they would have left Francesca dealt with infertility issues and marry a man and Eloise fell for Marina and be lovers while everyone think they are just friends
Jack Harlow dropped an album of the year contender with just 9 songs
No one could’ve seen this R&B/Soul sound coming from him, but it works so well and now I want more of it
