The Garden and Cliffs border on console is all part of one artwork that scrolls up as you climb ever higher.

Amazon Games VP Jeff Gattis thinks the future of gaming might not need a console at all as hardware keeps getting more expensive, more people could turn to cloud gaming instead. “If hardware gets more and more expensive, then I think streaming will become a lot more attractive to people.” He also said cloud gaming has improved a lot over the last few years and is finally a realistic option for more players. “The technology has come a long way. It’s much more viable than it used to be.” Gattis admitted plenty of players will still want dedicated hardware, especially where internet speeds aren’t good enough for game streaming.

It’s nice to know Sony is prepared to go all digital. Ps network is DOWN and I CAN’T play any of my DIGITAL games

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot thinks gaming is heading toward an all-digital future, and he doesn’t believe the end of physical games “disturb” the industry. Reacting to Sony ending physical PlayStation game discs for new releases in 2028, Guillemot said PC gaming is proof that going digital can actually help the business. “PC gaming has shown that moving away from physical media has actually helped the industry grow.” He also said he doesn’t think getting rid of discs will have much of an impact on consoles. “I don’t think the end of discs will disturb the industry that much.”

“But Quack! Why are you acting like Sony will one day delete or revoke your license on the digitally purchased games? There’s no history of Sony doing this…. Right?” Vita Owners, check your paid games. You’ll see Sony has in fact revoked or limited your access to your games
