Gender dysphoria is not actually classified as a mental illness. Why is it so hard to understand the concept that some people are born with their sex not matching their psychological gender identity? Half of who we are comes from our mother and father. Each parent contributes approximately 50% of our genetic material. since that's the case, it makes perfect sense there would be a subset of people who may be biologically male or biologically female but inherited the psychological gender markers of the other parent. Being born this way does not mean that you are mentally ill.
