We are so thankful to have RPDS parent and cancer specialist, Dr. Davis as a guest speaker in our 6th grade science classes today to teach our students all about blood.

PreK 3 is learning all about how things grow! Today they partnered up to plant some seeds which they’ll watch grow over the next few weeks. We love watching these little ones grow throughout the year! 🌱 #iheartrpds

3rd Grade engineers have been working with Mrs. Stokes through the stages of design to construct a bridge. From blueprint to build, students had to work within a budget to purchase materials, rent glue guns, and collaborate on all decisions. Great work!

It's WACKY WEDNESDAY in PreK 4! We saw lots of silly socks, mismatched shoes, backwards shirts, colorful hair, capes, dinosaurs and more come through our RPDS doors today. It's been a day of sweet, silly, memories! #iheartrpds

Who knew space could be so tasty?!? Our 1st Grade students are currently studying the solar system and spent time today recreating the phases of the moon using Oreo cookies...yum!

Did you know February 17th is Random Act of Kindness Day? Our Kindergarten classes decided to write thank you notes to different teachers and staff around our campus. These sweet students spread a lot of joy and kindness around RPDS today (and every other day too)! #iheartrpds

Love is in the air today at RPDS! Our Kindergarten class celebrating watched as Q and U said "I do" and agreed to forever be by each other's side! The outdoor ceremony was complete with wedding cake and some spectacular dancing! #iheartrpds

RPDS 1st Graders left for China today! The students have been enjoying their world travels this year and are looking forward to the coming weeks being immersed in the Chinese culture.

This Monday is all about energy! Our 4th Grade class is currently studying sound energy and utilized ropes and slinkys this morning to represent energy waves!

Apparently, there is some big game this weekend??? We all know the REAL competition heated up this week with RPDS Athletics during week 2 of flag football and volleyball! Way to go!

Mrs. Milne's 1st Grade class accepted the challenge of mid-week art...Michelangelo style! This afternoon Mrs. Milne surprised her students with paper under their desks and the chance to create their own upside-down masterpiece just like Michelangelo did with the Sistine Chapel!

Today, our 6th Grade students completed a routine river check as a part of their St. Johns Riverkeepers partnership! RPDS 6th Grade scientists tested the water temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, salinity, pH, nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia. Great work 6th Grade!

HAPPY 100th DAY OF SCHOOL, RPDS! Our Kindergarten classes turned into centenarians today. For 100 years old they sure move around the playground exceptionally well! Such a fun day! #iheartrpds

This week our 5th Grade class has been honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in art class with their "Woven Together" projects. Mrs. Child also read the students the book "I Am Enough" by Grace Byers before they started crafting their unique woven creations. #iheartrpds

The weather is warming up and so is the competition on the Rice Sports Zone! RPDS 5th graders enjoyed some flag football and baseball in the beautiful weather today. RPDS P.E. rocks!
