@VicVijayakumar @mrdowden If you are provisionally approved and only missing the interview but happen to be flying internationally you can interview on entry at most international airports and not need to schedule your interview at one of the limited locations

After all your comments on this tweet I applied for Precheck, did the in-person thing at Staples, and got it less than 24hrs later.
Standing in a very long immigration line now though, and seeing the *empty* Global Entry area I regret not springing for that.

Is TSA Precheck worth it? I tried to apply for it a few years back and they needed me to make an appointment at an airport 2.5 hours away. And then a couple years ago appointments opened up at the airport 20 mins away. Just saw I can make a walk-in appointment at a Staples.

@VicVijayakumar Missed an S… SSSS, the fun extra screening and can’t check in online code. First return trip on global entry I got to deal with that in Amsterdam, but as a courtesy Delta did give me priority boarding for free. Last time that had happened to me was like 18 years ago leaving HK
English

@VicVijayakumar Oh shit you said pre-check not global, go for global entry… not sure if plain pre check increases the SSS odds but Global Entry does, presumably to keep people honest
English

@VicVijayakumar It gives you pre-check which is worth half the cost of entry, but also since it’s covered go for it… mine took 3 months for the background check and then another 3 months to get the interview (was only 10 min from work)… ironically it does increase your risk of getting an SSS

@VicVijayakumar Are you actively playing FH5? I have very few people I know IRL who are playing to leaderboard against

@VicVijayakumar I used iframes unironically as a design decision so don’t feel too bad… Veranda was also trendy in the aughts, comic sans would have been unforgivable though.

@VicVijayakumar This is also best practice in product ops, we always do fulfillment pilots from each FC to the Product Manager to verify that there were no setup issues in oracle and data capture was valid and so they verify the product came as expected.
English

@Gretyl @VicVijayakumar I feel that, I spent a lot of time in curated playlists (played in shuffle) so all my tops are more a reflection of the obsessions of the curators… also I think it was not correctly capturing video plays in the stats based on what is missing

@MonkKelley We had this today (first time though) I very much disliked and want my time back… even if I had a stapler I do not think throwing it at an active shooter is an effective plan… or on par with running or hiding as strats…

@VicVijayakumar @cjohnson318 At dinner first get her a whiskey drink, then a vodka drink, then a lager drink, and finally a cider drink. Then prey she recognizes the troll before you are forced to sing about the good times and the better times…
English

@cjohnson318 Gonna figure out a way to include the lyrics in this year’s happy anniversary card.

@mr_ian When we were in college Friends shit was more common than Seinfeld but both were def well off the air already… honestly though I think streaming + social media plays a huge role. NBCU still has people employed marketing the show today as part of their Peacock strategy.

@VicVijayakumar At the start I had a bunch of weirdness that was caused by a wonky SD card, but it was nice to bring in non-hue branded devices to HomeKit and convinced me to wait for Matter/Thread to finally release before adding to my automation setup because simple interop would be nice
English

@VicVijayakumar I went to hoobs (a homebridge derivative with a some nice web UI) when Insteon went dark suddenly this spring and it’s nice other than the insteon bridge sometimes just quits talking to the insteon hub for no discernible reason (and 1:5 times can’t be fixed by a service restart)
English

@VicVijayakumar After we switched to gsuite I put all my rework instructions into a shared drive for our team and over the course of a year 90% of requests became self-serve. Documenting everything and deleting nothing has paid so many dividends professionally.

@Gretyl @metronetfiber @MediacomCable Metronet is getting huge in my region (but not into my zip code) and I had been waiting to hear the catch, which I only found out about this week when I was told you have to pay extra to get a real IP and the snorks just get double NAT’d…
