Britton, age 56, passed away leaving behind a legacy of service, integrity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and community. Born in San Diego, California, to Johnnie and Jay Britton, Jeff dedicated his life to serving others. In 1994, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army, where he proudly served for 30 years before retiring in 2024. Never one to stop working or serving, Jeff began a new chapter after retirement as the Cellarman at Service Brewing Co., where he enjoyed combining his strong work ethic with his love of craftsmanship. He also became the go-to professional handyman for Renegade Paws Rescue, generously donating his talents to help improve the lives of countless rescued dogs and the people who cared for them. Jeff’s commitment to service extended far beyond the military. He was a proud Master Mason, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and an officer in the Knights of St. Andrew. He served as Vice President of National Sojourners, Hunter Chapter 502 in Savannah, Camp Commander of the Heroes of ’76, and was a dedicated member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Through these organizations, he formed lifelong friendships while exemplifying honor, patriotism, and brotherhood. He will be profoundly missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
