@Sportsnet I get the Jays didn't score runs.
But at the end of the day, extremely questionable pitching changes played a significant role in the Jays not advancing back to back years.
Most haven't been a fan of the skippers decision making when the lights have been brightest.

To clarify, I wouldn't trade him, bat is too valuable... but I do believe the Jays could be a better team by shifting him.
And... they may already have the defensive answer on their bench...

@Rsweeney5 @BlueJaysDad side of the game. When you look at the overall package (defense and offense) there were 7 SS better thank him last year. That's it.
To be clear, I just like talking baseball. I am neither a Bo lover, nor disliker (hate is too strong a word). 2/2

@BallMechanic @BlueJaysDad Knowing the💰he is going to demand, you'd want to see better defensive numbers to justify IMHO.
Love for the Jays to keep him, but doesn't need to be at SS.
But.. Tulo having played SS for jays in recent memory may skew my view of Bo's SS abilities, and they are comp. hitters.

Even with how much better he may be defensively this year, he's still ranks low:
26th in OAA
26th in runs prevented
32nd in fielding to glove side
I feel the jays could be a better team with him on 2B + less pressure on him overall.

@BallMechanic @BlueJaysDad Fair. I'm looking at generalizations of certain positions from an offensive vs defensive statistical point of view.
The fact that Bo is a good hitter is probably the only reason he's still allowed to play short.
Below is from a recent MLB season.
Aligns with positional norms.

@Rsweeney5 @BlueJaysDad I don't remember the last time any position in pro ball has been defense first. It really has changed over the last many years. Not saying it's right, just changed.
In the end metrics (offense and defense combined) determine overall worth.
