As part of this year's @RubyConfAT conference, we want to offer a diversity ticket program, mainly through limited number of tickets available for members of historically marginalized or under-represented communities. Please note that the tickets do not include travel or accommodation and our budget only allows us to give away a limited number of tickets. We will also offer student/unemployed tickets at a later date at a much lower and affordable price, as would be expected for a student/unemployed ticket, or possibly even for free depending on our budget. We will need proof of unemployment or enrollment to unlock the ticket. If you want to participate in our program, you can apply using the link in the thread below 👇🧵 We will not share your personal information nor give you a special ticket, you will get a regular individual participant ticket for the conference if selected, indistinguishable from anyone else's. @RadanSkoric Just a normal registration like you would register for a workshop with limited slots, so first come first serve. We discussed options of selling tickets separately per day, but the team decided to go this way. Any networking on 29th is open to everyone with a ticket.

@RubyConfAT So just to clarify: it will be a first come, first serve system? Open registration and then a race for the tickets? Or a lottery? I'm just trying to get a sense of what are my chances of attending the full conference with the ticket. :)

@RadanSkoric Not an additional purchase, just that it is limited capacity (130) compared to 375 in Das MuTh. Additional registration for 29th will be required and will be only available to ticket holders. If there is enough budget (and interest) we might look into ways of extending capacity.

@RubyConfAT @RubyConfAT I have to admit I'm a bit confused. :) How does it work exactly for the 29th, the first day of the conference: It will be an additional purchase for those with tickets for second day? What will be its price?
