@Stinkyypossum it's not ALWAYS present and not everyone is as sensitive to the flavor, so it's possible you just don't taste it.

ANYWAY DID YOU KNOW THIS IS LIKELY DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF butyric acid; a chemical compound which is a natural byproduct of fermented fats, and it is chemically identical to one of the main compounds found in human vomit. this can be found in many cheeses desiring a “sharp” flavor such as cotija and parmesan and can be made worse by heating and melting these fats which releases the vomit taste. also. its an aged cheese. which i am allergic to. the more you know.

@RubyVoxx It's also a preservative Hershey's adds to their chocolate to limit bloom forming on it before expiration which unfortunately is why American chocolate has a reputation for vom flavor

@MarinGoRound i honestly usually just use monterey jack and cheddar (because it’s cheap) and i’ve never had this happen 😭😭😭
