Elon’s problem is that once he fixates on what hurt him, he stops seeing what still does good. OpenAI is not perfect. It became a complicated hybrid. But it also reaches people in remote places who need knowledge, translation, education, and practical help they could never afford otherwise. You don’t destroy something that is still helping people. Greatness is having the power to harm, and choosing to build instead. That is not weakness. That is seeing the whole board. In the art of war, you don’t give the first blow. You understand the battlefield.

Regarding the OpenAI case, the judge & jury never actually ruled on the merits of the case, just on a calendar technicality. There is no question to anyone following the case in detail that Altman & Brockman did in fact enrich themselves by stealing a charity. The only question is WHEN they did it! I will be filing an appeal with the Ninth Circuit, because creating a precedent to loot charities is incredibly destructive to charitable giving in America. OpenAI was founded to benefit all of humanity.

I voted for Trump and wish I could say the economy is better but groceries are still very expensive, especially beef, and eggs reached a new high! They're more expensive than it cost during COVID or even Biden's presidency. Housing/rent is still ridiculously high. The cost to build is astronomically high. In Alabama it was $100/sqft in March 2020. Shortly after the shutdown it rose to $225/sqft and has stayed there. I feel so sorry for younger families who can't afford to buy a home and are having to choose between paying their mortgage/rent or buying food. Trump doesn't see anything unless Susie Wiles reviews it first. No one sees Trump unless Susie approves that and she hovers, listening in, so it's possible he's not aware and is being lied to. Trump said Susie Wiles is the most powerful person in the world and she can destroy a country with one phone call. WHAT!??? I thought the POTUS was supposed to be the most powerful person in the world. She collects earnings from acting as a lobbyist for Bill Gates' vaccine company, GAVI, as well as for Pfizer and others even as she serves as Chief of Staff. I don't understand why she has so much control over Trump and why he doesn't fire her.

Hmmm…. It appears to me the merits of your case @elonmusk were irrelevant! The FACT is you missed the deadline. Your assumed that openAI would remain a non-profit based on the openAI founding mission, on founding emails, public statements, and the company's original charter claiming that constituted an implied "charitable trust apparently didn’t work because you missed the deadline of three years for the breach of charitable trust claim and two years for the unjust enrichment claim. And the openAI leadership said you were well aware of the pivot toward a for-profit structure years before you sued, meaning the statute of limitations had expired. Sorry but that’s on you. What I don’t understand is why your lawyers went forward with your case knowing you missed the statute of limitations deadline. You can try appealing the verdict but you really would be wasting your time because the one fact that’s in your way is the fact that you missed the statute of limitations deadline.

@elonmusk If it is in someone's possession, then OpenAI is not open. As soon as there's money involved there's no charity.
