NHS Menopause Health checks coming soon! 📣 In line with current free, routine health checks offered to everyone over the age of 40yrs old, after much campaigning the dHSc is to have dedicated questions added to the NHS Health Checks about the menopause – free assessments offered to eligible adults aged 40yrs + every five years – will benefit nearly 5 million women.  Too often, women's experiences of menopause have been minimised or misunderstood, with symptoms sometimes mistaken for other conditions or attributed to stress or lifestyle factors. With the Menopause healthcheck lifestyle, holistic and HRT options can be discussed early to support the biological transition We have had grassroots organisation members from The Health Collective share their experiences as well as research from RCOG, Women’s Health NHS England, Menopause Mandate, Menopause Employment, wellbeing of women, UCL women’s health and InTune to help keep pushing for change The next step to consult with experts to ensure the line of questioning is right for the menopause healthcheck and then roll this out in the NHS Leave me your thoughts
