It would be nice, during the summer, if the law stated that our Parish Council meeting could be held outside - because it could be a little warm tonight - but the windows and doors will be flung open!

It was Chairman Graham Fletcher’s honour to raise the armed forces flag this morning, at the beginning of Armed Forces week, which runs until 29th June Armed Forces Day. Cllr Fletcher having been a serving member of the army, is the Parish Councils Armed Forces Covenant champion.

Join us at the war memorial from 20:50 as Ruddington Community Choir provided us with some songs as the sunsets, before proclamations and then the lit beacon at 21:15.

Is it really a dress rehearsal if you don’t light the beacon? We’re one week away from D-Day and the parish councils beacon lighting event, which will be timed to tie in with over beacon lightings across the country.

Thursday 6th June. The Parish Council would like to invite all to join us at the War Memorial from 20:50 as we count down to the national Beacon Lighting at 21:15. The Ruddington Community Choir will be on hand as the sunsets and dusk prevails. #ruddington #ruddingtonevents
