Congrats Ben - we all miss you really - not just David Magill 😂😂😂

We all know it’s been a bit quieter in Rufford over the past few weeks well that because Ben Montedoro is 10568miles away back home in Sydney!! Ben has made a solid start to his 24/25 season ticking over 100 matches for Randwick Petersham Cricket Club

It also wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers who run our bar and organise events that enable us to raise the funds needed to invest and improve our great little club!! Another great achievement to celebrate at our 2024 awards evening tonight!!

Cousins Lane - our home - been awarded Best Ground in the Palace Shield for 2024!!! Scored each 1st XI home game by the league panel umpires Cousins Lane came top by some way which is some achievement considering the company we keep in this league! @pscricket

In a close fought division our developing 2nd XI finished with the same win, loss, no result record as the winners Charnock St James but having missed out on some vital batting / bowling points during the season fell short of becoming champions by only 4 points!!!

Congratulations to our 2nd XI for a hard fought campaign finishing 2nd in Division 6 and securing promotion which was the ultimate aim at the start of the season for this team!

Thankyou also goes out to Bryn for preparing the best ground around! We’re so lucky to play our home grounds at Cousins Lane - all our opponents love it too! All down to his hard work and dedication 🙏

Another thankyou to skipper Emily and vice skipper John for taking on the challenge of leading the group and really galvanising it into a winning team and leading from the front!

A huge achievement in the second year of reforming with a really good mix of upcoming youth that started a few years ago through our #AllStarsCricket programme and steered by some experienced heads!
