Zero complaints - Westmeath full back line sensational. Tied up all our inside threats. They definitely maxed out their score on the day. On our attack, You never felt we were going to win any balls out in front and all the replacements were players of a similar ilk. Could we have painter a different type of picture for them. Long balls into a gray / McBride in the full forward line? The advance mark is a weapon we could use. Kinsella sent a long ball into Lynch at one stage and a clean catch was on. If he done so he had the advantage of the mark with a free shot at goal. Palmed it limply. Costello back will help (I hope!) We know we are leaky at the back that’s a given. The championship this year will be a much different affair if teams commit to drilling 1 v 1s intensively in training. Big leveller compared to what we saw last year . Easy to drill too . Easier to drill than a zonal system for sure. #GAA
