2/5: The tournament brought together four schools after 12 weeks of training and was played in a round-robin format to assess rugby skills, teamwork, and rugby values. GS Mushongi emerged champions after defeating College Foundation Sina Gerard 4–0 in the final. #RwOT

1/5: After the successful implementation of the impactful Get Into Rugby 2.0 (GIR 2.0) project funded by World Rugby, GS Mushongi were crowned Phase Two champions following the T1 Rugby Evaluation Tournament held at Kirwa Playground, Base Sector, Rulindo District. #RwOT

¾: GS Kamabare’s Captain Bernadette Nyiramasengesho hailed the initiative, highlighting teamwork, good leadership, determination & growth, while Rwanda Rugby Federation President Tharcisse Kamanda praised World Rugby’s support in promoting girls’ rugby nationwide. #RwOT

At the March 7, 2026 Annual General Assembly, @RugbyRwanda President Kamanda Tharcisse highlighted key points. @rwandaolympic President Umulinga Alice urged stronger support for clubs, while Ruhango Zebras Women RFC’s Uwimpuhwe Yvette praised efforts to grow women’s #Rugby.

Today, the @RugbyRwanda proudly celebrates International Women’s Day by honoring the incredible women who continue to shape and grow rugby in Rwanda. From players,coaches to referees, administrators,supporters,your passion, strength & leadership inspire the future of our sport.

On the sidelines of the General Assembly,the Federation presented certificates of appreciation to 4 women teams: 1000 Hills Rugby, Ruhango Zebras,Burera Tiger RFC, and Resilience RFC,recognizing their dedication,performance & contribution to promoting and developing women’s rugby

Muvunyi, commended the @RugbyRwanda for its efforts to grow rugby and encouraged continued work to expand the sport nationwide. He reaffirmed the @Rwanda_Sports ’s commitment to collaborate with the federation to strengthen grassroots programs & promote rugby across the Country
