You cannot:
Work full time, raise children, keep a spotless home, show up fully in your marriage, maintain friendships, stay fit, build wealth, read books, pursue hobbies, serve only home cooked meals, answer every email, and still make the 3:30 school pickup.
That standard was created to keep you exhausted and blaming yourself. Let it go.

No matter how much you love your person, you need to be your own person.
Have your own hobbies, your own friends, your own time, your own fun.
Endeavor to be your own person.

If you are seeing this and you are in or around Offa, can you please attend his Janaiza immediately after Juma'ah service at owode Central Mosque, Offa? May Allah accept his return, forgive his shortcomings and grant us all the fortitude to bear the loss and a beautiful ending. Aameen 🤲

Please help us find my younger brother, Suleiman Bashir.
He left home in 2018 and we have not heard from him for the past 8 years. He was a Civil Engineering student at ATBU Bauchi (2016/2017 set) before leaving school in his 1st year of university , and never returned home, he ditched his phone and all his belongings at a friends house. Left for reasons only known to him.
He also attended Hassan Gwarzo Secondary School (2014 set).
Our father has passed away last 2weeks and he passed hoping to have seen him
Return home, please tell him to come home and sick his mother’s forgiveness for what he put them through.
Someone once said they saw him in Lagos around Computer Village.
If you know Suleiman Bashir, or any of his friends, please tell him his family still loves him and wants him back home safely.
Please help repost and share until it reaches him.

you think you are not being punished for your sins, yet you have been deprived of Qiyām Layl, your daily portion of the Qur’an, and the goodness of these blessed 10 days.
you have been deprived of nawaafil, sadaqah and it's difficult for you to even repeat the takbeer.
your heart has been sealed but you are unaware because you're not afflicted in your worldly affairs.
punishment, sometimes, is being deprived from worshipping Allāh.

I woke up to a bad case of flood at the workshop today and in the midst of everything that happened, I want to say that if you still have a mother alive as an adult, you are one of the luckiest. Please don't take that blessing for granted.
This guy called his mother as early as 7am that his apartment is flooded and he has to go to work, the mother arrived before 7:30am, this woman single handedly brought out everything in that apartment, cleaned it and washed the apartment while actively calling people to help search for another apartment, not a single minute passed without her saying "Olorun, dakun ba n se adapada olore fun Lekan, omo na n gbiyanju (God please help me replace all that Lekan has lost, he is really trying).
I went back this evening to check on the progress of the cleaning in my own side of the apartment and this woman was still there working. All I could offer her was the water in my tank to help her cleaning.
A mother's love is mostly the only true love many of us will ever experience. May God bless us all, so we can care for them as much as they care for us.

I am Nigerian, and right now my dream is bigger than me.
Only about 4.5% of medical literature globally are represented on Black skin.
That means millions of Black patients are learning from systems that barely look like them. Medical students study diseases on skin tones that are not their own. Doctors are trained with visual references that often fail Black bodies.
That gap has consequences.
So I am deciding to build towards changing it.
I’m starting with a book.
But the larger vision is far beyond that. I want to help build software and medical visualization tools that make Black medical representation impossible to ignore.
This is not just about diversity aesthetics, this is about accuracy, education, visibility and better healthcare outcomes.
One day, I want a Black child studying medicine anywhere on earth to see themselves fully represented in what they learn.
And I believe we can build that future.

alhamdulillāh, we have officially entered the best days of the year. i wrote about the virtues of dhul hijjah and some of the recommended acts of worship. here are some very important ones:
- hold on to the obligatory acts of worship, particularly your ṣalāh at the right times.
- dhul hijjah is a sacred month as well, the weight of sins are heavy. abstain!
- performing hajj is the greatest act of worship in these days, for those who are able.
- fasting is highly recommended especially on the day of Arafah.
- increase in all forms of righteous deeds.
- give sadaqah and engage in the remembrance of Allāh.
may Allāh accept it from us.
