Hello @EpicGames Team,
I’d like to share an idea regarding Nanite.
Would it be possible to add a hybrid mode, where Nanite automatically bakes its LODs during the build, so the runtime Nanite system doesn’t need to stay active?
This could provide:
For developers:
• Automatic LOD generation without manual modeling
• Simpler asset workflow
For players:
• Stable performance on a wider range of devices
• No visual downgrade, since LODs are generated by Nanite itself
The only trade-off would be larger build size, which is often acceptable.
