Not Done: 34 year-old @RunDMC_Neill ran a personal best 7:46.41 for 3000m at the #BoxHillClassic in Melbourne today. McNeill, a two-time Olympian, was the NCAA 5000m champion both indoors and outdoors in 2010 for @NAUTrackFieldXC.

Let’s hope other countries are thinking the same way and now that one country has stepped forward others will too. Hosting Olympics in 2021 makes sense when you factor in how athletes are able to train and qualify in the coming months. (Perhaps run the World Champs in 2022?)

@DickTelford A little off topic, but I’d say another issue is that many researchers don’t know how to critically appraise study quality, & we’re taught to just assume syst reviews > RCTs > cohort studies, etc. Syst revs become the holy grail, yet many are the product of poor quality research

Not a new study at all but a summary of other groups' work. But journal editors love publishing reviews like this as lazy researchers don't bother to access original work and just cite reviews which in turn boosts journal impact factors, readership, prestige and $s.
