I am happy to announce that I have been so fortunate as to be one of 15 selected candidates for a fellowship at the BRIDGE Translational Excellence Programme, at the University of Copenhagen.

Thank you so much to Lone Skov (MD, PhD, DMSc), @NaslundKoch (MD, PhD), Amanda Kvist-Hansen (MD, PhD) and Christopher Willy Schwarz (MD, PhD student) for organising this event. 😃

Lastly, we had some wonderful keynote speakers in the form of Claus Henrik Nielsen and @TinaVilsb who talked about the interplay between inflammatory diseases and whether obesity can be considered a multiorgan condition or a disease.

Yesterday I was so fortunate to be a participant at the #GRID symposium. It was an excellent opportunity network with colleagues across Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Immunology and Dermatology.

It will be an exiting time, and I can’t wait to get started. 😃 💪 ⏳

Here I will form a small research group whose five-year goal will be to set up a clinical trial where patients with hidradenitis suppurativa that are at a particular risk of developing severe disease will be treated preemptively so as to avoid disease progression. 😷💉

I can finally reveal that I am so fortunate as to be one of four grantees to recieve @LEOFondets Dr Abildgaard Fellowship 🦁 The next step of my academic journey will therefore begin January 1st at Department of Dermatology and Allergy @HerlevGentofte!

I was ever so delighted for another opportunity to participate at #SICSpringtimeSchool. I formed a lot of new connections that may someday lead to fruitful collaborations, and I am honoured to say that my presentation won one of two prizes for best short talk. 🏅 🥳

I am so happy that @UCPH_BRIDGE have allowed me to spend these two years to dedicated research and knowledge dissemination. I really hope that my work can help shed light on the existence of this disease, and help our patients by ultimately offering better treatment.

Today represented @Bloddonorstudie 🩸 in a talk at the annual summit hosted by the Danish Society for Clinical Immunology. My chosen topics were hidradenitis suppurativa as an overlooked disease and the opportunitis for patient improvement though the use of population genetics 🧬

Have you as a physician ever sat across from a newly referred HS patient and wondered "How will the disease course of this patient turn out? Will it be mild, will it be severe? And why?" ... and what do you say if the patient actually ask you just those questions? 🤔

Today I am at the @BioCPH at the penultimate @UCPH_BRIDGE course to learn more about Pharmaceutical and Biotech Regulation and Innovation. I am very curious as to what I will learn today regarding how to fund and execute a successful biotech company. 🤔🧑‍🎓

This was a great opportunity as most of the diseases including cutaneous leishmaniasis and leprosy, I have only ever seen in a text book. Furthermore we discussed the future consequences of global warming on the mitigation of such diseases. 🌏🌍🌎

Yesterday I was so fortuitous as to be invited to the Center of Global Dermatology's (@dermatologisk) inauguration lecture held by Mohammed Saiful Islam Bhuiyan on the subject Neglected tropical skin diseases in Bangladesh. 🧑‍⚕️🩺🏥

When new additions to the team necessitates a seating restructure - and it is effectuated on a day when you are away - it is lovely to have such supporting coworkers at @skinucph, that can inform me about the assigned seating. 🤣

4/4 These skills can be applied within Academia, Clinical science and the Medical industry - whatever the future hold, I feel prepared. 😄 Furthermore I have met so many wonderful future potential group leaders 🧐 like: @AllanBayat, @a_underwood_phd, @Ghanizada_H, @MortenBaltzer

3/4 I now possess valuable skills and understanding within #Omics, #TranslationalDiseaseModeling, #BidData, #MachineLearning, #PharmacologicalDrugDesign, #ManagementAndLeadership and #MediaCommunication. This have widely increased my future prospects...

1/4 I was a little late this week in facing the "blizzard" in order to get my mail. And look and behold my surprise 😮 when I opened my copy of @Ugeskriftet and found a bonus flyer for applying for a @UCPH_BRIDGE fellowship. 😄🎉🎊 Based on my own experiences...
