You sound crazy as heck. Kai not the tallest, strongest, or fastest. He really mastered the art of angles and playing with a lower center of gravity than 90% of the guys that have ever played. He is one of the greats objectively. His skillset is TIMELESS.

When we discuss skill, this is why I put Kyrie in the best ever conversation. At 6’2 he has some of the best finishing around the rim we’ve ever seen. Baseline drive and he finishes with the left. He understands angles on the glass and scoring angles better than the best of them.

Becky Hammon questioned Jalen Brunson’s ability to be a 1A, and then she specifically named Giannis, Embiid, and Steph as examples of 1A’s. She is correct. Brunson is not Giannis, Embiid, or Steph. But the NBA has massively changed since she made that take 3 years ago. You don’t need a 1A to win a ring anymore. A deep, well coached roster that compliments itself and is led by an elite player (Brunson, Haliburton, Ant, etc.) can win a ring nowadays. As a matter fact, I’d actually argue deep rosters led by a secondary star is better than the top heavy teams led by the 1A’s.

SGA is the prime example of why smaller point guards are becoming extinct. He can get you 10 assists with minimal turnovers, while still getting 30 points, and not giving up much on the defensive end.
