Já do lado chinês, a versão é de que isso não aconteceu e que a fã tinha seu lugar reservado desde cedo, conforme o costume de organização adotado no local. Segundo relatos, a fã teria sido expulsa do evento e, após se recusar a sair, foi levada pela equipe. Vídeos divulgados mostram agressões de ambos os lados. As imagens exibem membros da equipe do evento e seguranças utilizando força física para contê-la e retirar seus pertences, enquanto a fã também é vista chutando uma das integrantes da equipe. O caso rapidamente ganhou repercussão nas redes e se transformou em uma discussão generalizada entre os dois países, com acusações e versões contrárias de ambos os lados. Também circula a informação de que a GMMTV teria informado que processaria a fã. Até o momento, a empresa não se pronunciou oficialmente sobre o caso.
