Incredible news to see Blue Fin Tuna are being found again in Cornish coastal waters - our @fishlove2020 worldwide campaign started with us taking the endangered species off our menus,all those year’s ago. So it’s shocking to hear they are being added to the catch - apparently under licence? Just so they can be an item on the menu in some certain restaurants in Cornwall - so nothing was learned? At one point teetering on extinction - but a possible future for them after being found in abundance with mature weights and size - so to celebrate that milestone - a restaurant owner slaps them on their menu - appalling behaviour - just not acceptable!

One particular (certified Org, highly regarded) grower we pay exactly the same price for two cuvées. One in keg and one in bottle. Volume in keg is 5.5x bottle volumes.

This is awful... I find I'm disagreeing with @littlestjames . Not Hugh's logic (obviously, it's Hugh Johnson) but the practicality. Doing away with corks means asking producers to devalue the perception of their wines by 15-20%. It's asking a winemaker to vote to be cheaper.

@Wine_Cuentista For a while (around 2008 vintage) the whites were very oaky. But seemingly the balance is much better now.

@RupertJTaylor That´s actually what inspired my post. I received some wines yesterday, including both colours of his sparkling, and it occurred to me that everything he touches turns to gold.

Is there another small-to-medium sized producer as complete as Jacky Blot? Is anyone else making red, white and sparkling wines together at such a high level?

@Wine_Cuentista The 🍾 is better. White is close and red is on a nice path. Some of my favourite reds to drink are Gamay/Pinot so it ticks my boxes
