New paper out in Phys. Rev. Research. We propose an all-photonic protocol that closes the detection loophole at the absolute Eberhard limit (η_d ≥ 66.7%) with √η_c loss scaling → loophole-free Bell tests over 100s of km with today’s tech. doi.org/10.1103/xw66-n…

Published in Physical Review A, we consider GBS-like circuits for non-Gaussian state engineering, where the measurement of a subset of modes adaptively reconfigures the subsequent layers, to maximise the success rate. doi.org/10.1103/jhkz-8…

Dear colleague --- thanks for sharing your latest work on the arXiv. If you are also submitting your work to a nature whatever journal could you also not put your figures at the end of the paper? More generally, put a little bit of love on the formatting. With ♡,one your readers

The RUQu crew were delighted to welcome Robert J. Chapman (3rd from the right) who gave an invited seminar on his recent work on thin-film lithium niobate quantum photonics!

I need a textbook for a new “Physics of Quantum Information” course I’m teaching. It is for physics 4th-year undergrad and grad students who already know quantum physics. I’m looking for the basics, simple algorithms, and implementations. Any recommendations?

The bad thing about experiment is there’s a lot of repetitive work. The nice thing about experiment is there’s a lot of repetitive work, so there’s a chance to listen to things. This was such an amazing episode. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/pas…
