This landmark document laid the foundation for a comprehensive partnership between our countries, which continues to bear fruit in many areas of practical cooperation. 📰 To mark the anniversary, Russian and Chinese Ambassadors to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev and Jiang Zaidong published the article "Russia-China Cooperation as a Vital Constant amid Century-Defining Changes Sweeping across the World". 🇷🇺🇵🇰 On July 6, students from Russia and Pakistan participated at an online conference, which brought together 40 young researchers representing the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), University of Okara and the Consortium for Asia Pacific and Eurasian Studies (CAPES). 🙌🏻 Welcoming remarks were delivered to the participants by the Vice Chancellor of FUUAST Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari, the Cultural Attache of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan Mr. Gleb Shubin, the Head of the Department of International Relations and Mass Communications at FUUAST Dr. Faisal Javaid, and the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications at the Financial University Dr. Darya Osinina. 👉🏻 The speakers presented research focusing on the development of cooperation between Russia and Pakistan in economic, energy, cultural, social, and climate spheres.

✅ Registration for the International Olympiad on Climate Change and Environmental Issues (IOCE) 2026 has been launched. IOCE-2026 will be held on September 20-29, 2026, in the Sirius Federal Territory, the Russian Federation. ✍🏻 Applications will be received until August 24, 2026 at ioce.siriusolymp.ru/en Students aged 14 to 18 can participate in teams of two to five members. Each team can be accompanied by one leader and up to two observers (adults). 👉🏻 The Olympiad consists of two rounds: a theoretical round (individual and team) and a practical round (field and laboratory) – held in different days. 🇷🇺 The Olympiad is being held for the third time. This year, it is being partially integrated with the Sirius International Negotiators Program, which is an intensive development program that prepares young specialists to act as UN climate diplomats and participate in real-world negotiation scenarios In addition to competitive challenges, participants will enjoy an extensive cultural program.

🇷🇺🇵🇰 On June 18, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Albert P. Khorev met with H.E. Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Political and Public Affairs, Inter-Provincial Coordination, President of the Pakistan Sports Board. 👉🏻 During the substantial conversation, the Sides discussed in details issues related to strengthening the Russian-Pakistani dialogue in the spheres of sports and tourism, expressed readiness to further develop mutually beneficial and constructive collaboration in these areas.

🇷🇺On June 10, the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan hosted a grand reception for the National Day. 👉🏻 President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari participated in the Russia Day event as Chief Guest. The reception was also attended by federal ministers, prominent parliamentarians of the country, numerous Ambassadors from friendly country and other distinguished guests. ✨ The theme of the event was the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, proclaimed by Vladimir Putin. Guests enjoyed a fashion show of the Embassy staff presenting traditional Russian dresses, as well as dances and musical perfomance by the Cossack Ensemble "Stavropolye." A photo exhibition showcasing the beauty of various regions of Russia was also displayed. 🙌🏻 In his speech, Russian Ambassador Albert P. Khorev emphasized that Russia country is defending its national interests and advocating for the establishment of a just multipolar world order — a stance that resonates with Pakistan, as relations with the country are on the rise in various areas.

🙏🏻 On June 9 and 10, the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan hosted an exhibition in memory of the students of the Lugansk Pedagogical University’s college in Starobelsk (Lugansk People's Republic, Russia), who lost their lives as a result of the bloody terrorist attack by the Kiev Nazi regime on their dormitory. 👉🏻 The event was attended by Ambassador of Belarus H.E. Mr. Andrei Metelitsa, Minister of Culture and National Heritage H.E. Mr. Auranzeb Khan Khichi, diplomats from friendly countries, parliamentarians and prominent figures from all major political forces of Pakistan, local academic community, religious leaders, and Russian compatriots living in Pakistan. 🙌🏻 Visitors brought flowers and soft toys, and wrote their messages in the Book of Condolences. Videos showing the aftermath of the strike were screened — 21 young students were killed, and over 60 were seriously injured. Photos of the victims are also displayed in the consular section of the Embassy. 🕯️ We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

⚡ On June 9, the Russian Embassy held an extraordinary press briefing on the situation around Ukraine in connection with the cynical shelling by the Ukrainian army of a dormitory and the educational building of a pedagogical college in the city of Starobelsk, as a result of which 21 teenagers under the age of 23 were killed and more than 60 people were injured. 👉🏻 Ambassador of Russia Albert P. Khorev informed representatives of the Pakistani media about Moscow’s decision taken in this regard to give a new quality to its military actions in Ukraine, which will henceforth be directed at decision-making centers, command posts, and enterprises of the Ukrainian defence industry, including in Kiev, and will be consistent and systematic in nature. ✍🏻 During the briefing, the Ambassador also gave an assessment of the latest outrageous, bordering on madness, attacks by the Ukrainian army on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and the city of Energodar, the cynical drone strikes in the cities of Yenakiyevo and Genichesk, as well as attempts to disrupt the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

🇷🇺 On June 4, the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST, Islamabad) hosted a poster conference titled “From Peter the Great to Vladimir Putin,” timed to coincide with Russian Language Day. The event was attended by faculty and students of the International Relations Department, as well as its Head Dr. Faisal Javaid and Cultural Attaché of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan Mr. Gleb Shubin. 👉🏻 The students presented results of their research on significant periods of the Russian State’s history, demonstrating a keen interest in Russia's formation and development as a multinational country with over a thousand years of history. In his turn, Attache Gleb Shubin gave a presentation on the key stages in emergence of the modern Russian language, focusing on the invaluable contribution to this process made by the “sun of Russian poetry” – Alexander Pushkin. 👍🏻 In addition, the diplomat highlighted the opportunities available to Pakistani citizens for pursuing higher education in Russia.

📜 The Russian Embassy School in Pakistan held an open lesson dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture. The event featured a lecture on the history of the holiday and the pivotal role of Saints Cyril and Methodius in the creation of the first written and literary language of the Slavic peoples, which laid the foundation for modern Russian language and literature. 🖼 As 2026 marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of Lyudmila Verbitskaya, a distinguished Russian philologist, the students were also introduced to a series of posters titled “Let’s Speak Like St. Petersburgers”, created under her guidance. The author of over 300 scientific and educational works in the field of linguistics, Lyudmila Verbitskaya has made an invaluable contribution to the development of Russian science and education, as well as to strengthening the position of the Russian language internationally. #DayOfSlavicLiteratureAndCulture

✨️ On May 22, an online Russian language course for the staff and students of the University of Peshawar was officially launched. The program is organized by the Ural State Pedagogical University (USPU, Yekaterinburg) with the support of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan. The classes for Pakistani students will be taught by USPU faculty members. 🇷🇺🇵🇰 The launch of this initiative marked the beginning of a promising partnership between two renowned Russian and Pakistani universities and became yet another important milestone in the multifaceted cooperation between our friendly nations. #RussiaPakistan
