✨️ On May 22, an online Russian language course for the staff and students of the University of Peshawar was officially launched. The program is organized by the Ural State Pedagogical University (USPU, Yekaterinburg) with the support of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan. The classes for Pakistani students will be taught by USPU faculty members. 🇷🇺🇵🇰 The launch of this initiative marked the beginning of a promising partnership between two renowned Russian and Pakistani universities and became yet another important milestone in the multifaceted cooperation between our friendly nations. #RussiaPakistan

Khorev received the winners of the International Youth Anti-Corruption Advertising Competition “Together Against Corruption” – Islamabad students Hadia Jaffar and Sadia Jaffar – along with their family members. 🥈🥉 In a solemn atmosphere, the ladies were awarded with commemorative prizes bearing the symbols of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation in recognition of their outstanding achievements, securing 2nd and 3rd places in the “Best Poster” category. Their artworks were aimed at promoting anti-corruption awareness and strengthening legal consciousness among the public. ❗️We also remind you that submissions for the next round of the “Together Against Corruption” competition are open until October 1, 2026. ✨️ On May 22, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev held a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi. 🤝 The two sides discussed pressing international issues, including the Middle East crisis. They emphasized that there is no alternative to the peaceful resolution of all existing disputes and expressed support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts. In addition, the Ambassadors conducted a detailed exchange of views on the situation around Afghanistan, underscoring the importance of measures aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the region. @uaeembassyisb

🎉 On May 14, the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and the CIS countries celebrated the 25th anniversary of its establishment. ✒️ On this occasion, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev sent a congratulatory letter to the leadership and members of the Association, emphasizing its significant contribution over the past quarter century to strengthening people-to-people contacts between the two countries and promoting an objective image of Russia among the Pakistani citizens. The anniversary events, held in Lahore on May 14-15, brought together members of the Association, as well as the Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination of Pakistan Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, Cultural Attaché of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan Gleb Shubin and Head of RUDN University’s Office for International Alumni Affairs Anara Tarbayeva. ❗️ In his remarks, Attaché Gleb Shubin underscored the importance of the academic and cultural initiatives carried out under the leadership of the Association’s Chairman Dr. Shahid Hasan and President Dr. Ashraf Nizami, noting their valuable role in fostering growing interest in the Russian language and literature in Pakistan. 🤝 Participants unanimously emphasized the importance of further expanding cooperation between the two friendly nations across a wide range of areas. It was particularly noted that Pakistani graduates of Soviet and Russian universities play a meaningful role in advancing this objective. #RussiaPakistan

✨️ On May 19, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev held a briefing on the situation in and around Ukraine. The event was attended by representatives of the Pakistani media and academic community. 🇷🇺🇵🇰 At the outset, the Ambassador highlighted Russia’s international efforts to combat the glorification of Nazism, referring in particular to the thematic resolution annually adopted by the United Nations General Assembly with Pakistan’s consistent support. Ambassador Khorev also underscored Russia’s peace initiatives in the context of the Ukrainian conflict, noting that the Kiev regime, backed by Western countries, continues to prolong hostilities. Particular attention was paid to the issue of forced mobilization in Ukraine, as well as to the growing Ukrainian corruption scandals involving members of Zelenskyy’s inner circle. The Ambassador drew attention to the deteriorating crime situation in Ukraine and strongly condemned attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure, including the “TurkStream” and “Blue Stream” pipelines, stressing that such actions pose a threat to regional energy security. ❗️The briefing also addressed the hybrid war being waged by Western countries against Russia. The Ambassador stated that pseudo-legal mechanisms such as the so-called “Register of Damage for Ukraine” and the “Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine” constitute elements of anti-Russian legal aggression, adding that Russia would regard any accession to these initiatives by third countries as a hostile step. Particular attention was devoted to challenging Western disinformation narratives concerning the alleged “mass atrocities in Bucha” and the “abduction of thousands of Ukrainian children.” Albert P. Khorev stressed that these accusations are unfounded and highlighted Russia’s efforts aimed at reuniting separated families on both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian border. In conclusion, Ambassador Khorev reiterated that the so-called “Scythian gold” collection, transferred by the Netherlands to Ukraine, should be returned to Crimean museums. 📚 During the event, Zakhar Prilepin’s book “Militia Romance” was presented. Khorev delivered a video address to the participants of the Second Russian-Pakistani International Conference held in Kazan on the sidelines of the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”. 🇷🇺🇵🇰 The Ambassador emphasized that Moscow and Islamabad are active participants in the ongoing fundamental transformation of international relations system, under which there is no alternative to combining efforts of Russia and Pakistan as responsible and influential actors across Greater Eurasia. 💬 Albert P. Khorev: “We see our common task as preventing further escalation, particularly in the Middle East, restoring the central role of the United Nations in international affairs, and returning to peaceful social and economic development, including within the framework of the Moscow-initiated concept of the Greater Eurasian Partnership, which also envisages enhanced cooperation in the field of security.” ❗️He paid special attention to the fact that modern Russia-Pakistan relations have reached a qualitatively new level and are marked by a substantially intensified multifaceted bilateral dialogue, including between the parliaments of the two countries, as well as relevant authorities in the fields of internal affairs, defense, national security, economy, and culture. The Conference was co-organized by Kazan Federal University and Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology in partnership with the National University of Sciences and Technology and the Consortium for Asia Pacific and Eurasian Studies.
