According to QatarGas, 2 out of 14 of its LNG trains have been, basically, completely destroyed. One out of two of its GTL facilities as well.

Airgas, the largest distributor of pure helium products in the United States (22% of the market share) has announced that it is using the force majeure clause of its contracts and halting supplies to customers due to the destruction of QatarGas's train. Won't be long before we something similar from Air Liquide.

🚨🇶🇦---STRIKES ON RAS LAFFAN INDUSTRIAL CITY TO MATERIALLY AFFECT GLOBAL GAS SUPPLY--- Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar, which is the core of Qatar’s LNG export infrastructure, was targeted today by missile strikes. The strikes are reported to have resulted in material degradation of global gas supply capacity, 17% of Qatari LNG exports have been disrupted. The damage has introduced a multi-year structural supply shock with estimated annual revenue losses of $20B; moreover, it will likely lead to potential cascading effects across European and Asian gas markets. The targeted areas included Train 4 and Train 6 at the facility, owned by QatarEnergy–ExxonMobil joint ventures. ( A "train" as it pertains to these facilities is a complete, parallel processing line within a large industrial plant) The combined capacity of the affected units is 12.8 MTPA. The damage here is said to be severe structural and systems-level damage. Likely including cryogenic systems, heat exchangers, and gas processing modules. As a result, QatarEnergy is signaling force majeure declarations (extraordinary events or circumstances beyond the control of parties that prevent them from fulfilling their contractual obligations) on long term LNG contracts. Restorations are expected to take 3-5 years. Pearl GTL Facility, was struck allegedly in a secondary strike. This facility, owned by Shell, one production train is reported to be offline as a result for approximately 12 months. A strike on this facility as well, indicates an intent disrupt value-added downstream production, not just LNG exports and reduces availability of synthetic fuels and specialty hydrocarbons. Below is a graphic showing the disruption across multiple hydrocarbon streams. Helium being one of the most notable as Qatar is a top global helium supplier; while condensate and LPG disruptions will impact petrochemical feedstock markets. The bottom line is, the Ras Laffan strikes constitute a high-impact strategic disruption event, removing a significant share of global LNG supply for multiple years, with second-order effects across petrochemicals, helium markets, and global energy pricing. ⚡️ Drone swarm attack targets US enemy facilities in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Region -Via Tg

This explosion was from the Envases Plásticos Lago Plant in Argentina. The plant allegedly uses blow moulding to manufacture various plastic containers for multiple purposes. In one of the following posts I tried to assess the area and degree of damage. At 50m the explosion bent steel supports in the buildings. While weirdly enough right at what was believed to be ground zero, the sheet metal walls were ripped off but structure intact. From what I understood at the time that could likely be that because the explosion was believed to have occurred in that building, the building acted almost as a pressure release for lack of better words, blowing its walls off and allowing the stronger forces to escape and move away from the detonation point affected buildings the way it did 50m away. If you check out all the other images, it was a very violent explosion and large damage area. Any end to the war? @araghchi I thought Iran was going to continue until the US was defeated and pushed out of the region and Israel was completely defeated? Why after seeing how those two countries operate and deceive would you leave even a chance of negotiations? Israel needs to be completely defeated, denuclearized and left helpless in the region with no way to further corrupt the world. Keep pushing, no negotiations. Don’t give the US and Israel an easy way out.

Our response to Israel's attack on our infrastructure employed FRACTION of our power. The ONLY reason for restraint was respect for requested de-escalation. ZERO restraint if our infrastructures are struck again. Any end to this war must address damage to our civilian sites.
