THEY WILL KILL YOU is visually immaculate. Zazie Beetz kicks ass, and it’s hard to imagine people not having fun while watching her mow down people. All that said, something is missing from the movie, and the emotional aspects don’t land. #SXSW

UGLY CRY is truly a standout of SXSW. It’s an extremely genuine, incredibly relatable tale that tackles the insane expectations of Hollywood and society—with a little satire & humor sprinkled in. For me, it’s a better version of The Substance. Though, don’t expect a horror film.

ANIMA is a timeless exploration of a sci-fi concept that is all too close to becoming a reality. It’s complicated, messy, & very human. It may feel a bit too indie for its own good, but its exploration of the morality of a digital afterlife is worth experiencing. #SXSW

SCREAM 7 is fine, but doesn’t do much more than that. It certainly would have been far better with more Melissa Barrera—that’s the story that should have been told instead of what we ultimately got.

Project Hail Mary is an absolutely fantastic film that will no doubt live up to everyone’s expectations. Ryan Gosling gives an incredible performance overflowing with emotion and humor. The movie keeps you glued to the screen the entire time, though it’s admittedly a tad long.

HOPPERS is the most insane Pixar film I’ve ever seen—it dials everything up to 11 and never looks back. It’s full of heart and consistently throws jokes and unexpected turns at you that land perfectly. There are plenty of memorable moments to experience with a large crowd.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is significantly better than the first film. Sure, it still has flaws, but It’s a fun time from start to finish. The animatronics look incredible and the movie embraces the games more than ever. The Marionette is legitimately terrifying. #FNAF #FNAF2

Avatar: Fire and Ash is a technical marvel, as we’ve come to expect. There’s truly no VFX showcase like it. I also really loved the new villain (Varang) they introduced. Sadly, the repetitive story didn’t do much for me, and the movie is way too long. #Avatar

#TheHousemaid is a fun romp that’ll provoke plenty of interesting reactions. It’s eerily unsettling to start, playfully leans into camp, and then becomes a brutally wild ride. The performances all around are great, but I was particularly impressed by Amanda Seyfried.

@rejects @AndrewJ626 Nah. I think what you are seeing is shoddy exposition, which is an issue of Season 5. There’s plenty of examples where Noah’s performance is great.

I had a great time with #StrangerThings5 so far, and especially loved the ending of Episode 4. It’s not as strong as Season 4, and I definitely see some of the issues reviews are bringing up, but I was certainly invested the whole time. Looking forward to the final four!

Just fyi, saying that the second half of Wicked has always been weaker is not a defense. And, assuming that is the case, #WickedForGood had every chance to better itself. Clearly, it did not.

I also think making Sabine a Jedi was the worst part of #Ahsoka and completely unnecessary.
