I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week. I don’t get why we are so vilified.

The most important skill in law that nobody teaches: knowing when to stop talking. In depositions, in negotiations, in client meetings. Silence is underrated. Lawyers are trained to fill it. The ones who learn not to win more.

Every day I watch the chaos in this country and think about how many people got it completely wrong on Joe Biden, especially Democrats and the media. Democrats turned on him and bought into a manufactured narrative, while the press trashed stability, mocked experience, and helped normalize a convicted felon… and now act like none of it happened. A lot of people owe him an apology. Anyone else feel this anger? 🤷

@ASFleischman If you put the briefs into Chat GPT and ask it to scan for hallucinations, could that cause the end of the world? Asking for someone who's increasingly hoping for the end of the world.

Today, at oral argument, I learned that a prosecutor submitted a proposed order that included AI generated hallucinations, and the trial court signed that order. When asked, the prosecutor said that the trial court had added the hallucinations. /1

The President of the United States went on a late-night rant, making clear he believes the Supreme Court justices he appointed owe him their loyalty and should always rule in his favor. The President of the United States is openly attacking the independence of the judiciary, the very institution that stands between every American and unchecked executive power. Courts don’t work for the President. They work for the Constitution. And a president attacking the judiciary for doing its job is telling you he believes he is above the law.

@DietCoke_Esq Interesting characters in my "behind my back" client. Client never understood that taking the case on contingency was in and of itself a huge favor- commercial matter with sub-500k damage ceiling (settled for 60+% of the ceiling).

If you feel like your attorney isn’t negotiating hard enough, go ahead and contact opposing counsel yourself. When opposing counsel tells you that they can’t discuss with you, tell your attorney that opposing counsel is refusing to negotiate in good faith. Follow me for more hacks

@DietCoke_Esq When I fired a client for doing this they filed a bar complaint against me saying I was racist. When the bar complaint was dismissed they contacted Fox 5 News to claim the state bar and I were both racist.
