I think it was unnecessary & it does the opposite of building the connection he mentioned in the interview as it’s a comment that’s split the fanbase. Could the backing be better? Since Fosun’s arrival, they’ve spent north of £800m in transfer fees. The players they’ve invested in simply haven’t performed to their market value - in fact, nowhere near. Another summer rebuild needed. Ultimately costing #wwfc their last 4 managers, with broken promises.
