@jillwebb2005 Thank you as always Jill for all the work you put into the polls. This has been interesting one for sure lots of surprises along the way and probably not the final I would have predicted before we started, but as we have progressed it became apparent that these 2 would make it.

On this day in 1979 No 63 UK Album Chart Joe Jackson with his first album “Look Sharp” IMHO another debut album of the very highest quality. @jillwebb2005 That's very true too Jill and in Circus and planners dream it has 2 of weakest songs in the bands entire catalogue and Trans Global Express is spoiled by the vocals getting lost somewhere in the mixing process.

I’m sneaking in a late birthday wish to The Gift by #TheJam It doesn’t seem 44 years since this album was released. For me it lacks the magic of its 3 predecessors but there are some standout tracks. Ghosts, Five O’Clock Hero & Happy Together are my favourites. How about you?

OK so who can remember what they were doing 46 years ago today? I can it was a Monday and I was at school, but the important thing was at lunchtime I walked into town to get my copy of Going Underground from the Longplayer. A classic single that has truly stood the test of time
