Protestants would have to repent of their beliefs and convert to the Catholic Church (at least in desire if on their deathbed) in order to be saved.

Claiming Peter was the founder of the catholic church seems incorrect.
He was the founder of the first body of christ which is the church in general. He never appointed a papacy.
